This June, Corvus is excited to shine the spotlight on Franchise Owner Ms. Cortina Richardson, who has been a valued member of our team since August 2021. As a franchisee operating in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Ms. Richardson manages the impressive feat of servicing 13 accounts across three of Louisiana’s metropolitan areas.

This April, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Corvus of Cincinnati franchise owners Mr. Damian Cogar and Mrs. Hannah Cogar, who joined the Corvus family in April of 2022. In just two years, the Cogars have achieved remarkable growth, expanding their operations by an awe-inspiring 200%!

Since purchasing their franchise, the Cogars have quickly become known for their diligence and exceptional management skills. Mr. Brian Peters, Chief Operating Officer of Corvus of Cincinnati, describes them as “highly diligent in managing their team while responding immediately to their customers.” Their proactive approach has not only fostered trust but also driven substantial growth in their business.

Josh Dayton from the Corvus Cincinnati office notes that despite the demanding nature of the cleaning industry, the Cogars consistently excel in staying on top of emails, inspection reports, phone calls, and text messages. For our first month of the new year, Corvus is excited to spotlight Franchise Owner Ms. Felicia Brown-White.

Ms. Brown-White has been a Franchise Owner with Corvus of Cleveland since June 2023. In that short period of time, she has already grown her business significantly!

“She does a good job making friends with her customers who love how much she smiles and how much effort her team puts into her work,” says Mr. Johnny Lunsford, the Cleveland Assistant Regional Director. “She realizes the importance of playing the long game in her business and invests now so she can have bigger payoffs later.”

Ms. Brown-White is a world class communicator who always makes sure to keep the Cleveland office updated not only on her weekly accounts but her monthly cleans as well. Her attention to detail and care for her customers makes everyone who works with her happy and confident in her future success. Another thing that is so remarkable about Ms. Brown-White is her wonderful attitude, while she and her employees are doing quality work, she is continuously showing her positive mindset to all that she interacts with.

Imagine opening your own business and finding that you are in better shape, both in mind and body, than you were when working in hard manual labor. That is exactly the experience of this month’s Franchise Owner Spotlight, Dee Smith, with Corvus of Lexington. Clint Smith, Regional Director of the Lexington market, wanted to feature this Franchisee for the month of November.

Mr. Smith has been with Corvus Janitorial for over ten years, having opened his business in August of 2013. He said he had his doubts when he signed up to open his franchise. He had heard some negative comments about janitorial franchises in the past, but after getting to know the Corvus staff, he felt much better about his decision. Mr. Smith likes the family atmosphere of the company and notes that, “not everything is perfect, but neither are family relationships.”

Mr. Smith enjoys being his own boss in an industry and company that has a lot of potential for growth. He is one of the top ten high-capacity Franchise Owners in his market and finds one of his favorite parts of the business is building relationships, especially with his customers. He also appreciates that this isn’t a typical nine-to-five position and it’s not as physically demanding as his previous jobs.

This month, we shine the spotlight on the dynamic power couple from Corvus of Denver: Mr. Jose and Mrs. Angie Pineda.

According to Michael Kerby, Denver’s Regional Director, Jose and Angie have made an outstanding impact in the Denver market. “Certain partners truly stand out, especially those who have my back whenever I need support. Back in 2015, Jose embarked on his franchise journey, a journey that has now spanned eight years. Together with his wife, Angie, they form an unstoppable cleaning duo who genuinely revel in their work. Angie emphasizes, “Our approach is to treat each account uniquely, providing dedicated care and always going the extra mile. Some of my clients have been with me for over seven years, and it feels like we’ve become a close-knit family.”

The concept of family holds immense significance for the Pinedas. With two sons, Diego, aged 14, and Josué, aged seven, their devotion to both their business and family shines through. Amidst their business responsibilities, they also know how to have fun. Mr. Pineda even coaches his son Josué’s soccer team. Having been happily married for eight years, the couple cherishes family trips to Colorado’s stunning mountains.

Reflecting on his journey, Mr. Pineda expresses, “I had a decade of experience in the cleaning industry, but running a business was a new territory. This month’s Franchise Owner Spotlight highlights Veteran and Franchise Owner Mr. Anthony Ross. Mr. Ross opened his business with Corvus of Jacksonville in January 2022 and has shown remarkable patience in growing it. In addition to owning his Corvus Franchise, he also oversees the sanitation squad at a local hospital.

“Mr. Ross is super dependable and a stand-up guy,” says Spencer Sandell, Regional Director of Corvus of Jacksonville. “He never misses a clean, and we have never received a complaint about him. He operates as a solo artist and has deliberately kept his business small, but he runs a tight ship.”

One of the things that Mr. Sandell appreciates about Mr. Ross is how easily accessible he is. He always answers the phone and is willing to help in any way he can.

Mr. Ross is eager to please and does an excellent job cleaning. When reviewing his customer QCs, it is not uncommon to read things like, “he is the best.” Inspections often note that the buildings he cleans are spotless, and customers are incredibly satisfied with the service.

The Franchise Owner Spotlight of the month for July is a motivated young man named Aveon Frierson. Mr. Frierson opened his business with Corvus of Little Rock in April of 2021. He is in his early twenties, and he operates his business on top of working another full-time job.

Mr. Frierson has the capacity to take on larger accounts and has been steadily growing his monthly revenue. In the 2023 Franchisee Survey, he said that the thing that kept him most motivated in his business was “customer satisfaction.”

That motivational outlook is paying off. “It is rare to ever have a complaint from a customer about him,” reports Trey Kimbrell, Regional Director of Corvus of Little Rock. “He is just on top of it. Aveon is highly respected, and it goes both ways. He goes above and beyond to take care of his accounts and customers.” Mr. Kimbrell says that Mr. Frierson makes himself available for Corvus’ needs as well. “He’s always prepared and he’s always available to swing by the office when we need him.”

For the month of May, Corvus of Denver is proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of Mrs. Mercedes Lizeth Puerto and Mr. Luis Campos. Despite not being the first Franchise in the Denver Market (Franchise code DEN001), they have undoubtedly secured the number one spot in our hearts! Having embarked on their entrepreneurial journey in May 2009, Puerto and Campos recently commemorated their 14th business anniversary.

According to Denver Regional Director Michael Kerby, “They are the absolute best. They excel in their work, consistently helping us achieve growth by tackling challenging accounts and transfers.” Over the years, Mrs. Puerto and Mr. Campos have demonstrated remarkable growth, managing numerous major accounts. Since September of 2021 Franchise Owner Timothy Shields has slowly been building his business, but quickly building a great reputation with customers and Corvus teammates alike.

This month’s Franchise Owner Spotlight is focused on Mr. Shields from Corvus of Indianapolis. “My team and I talked about it, and we really wanted to acknowledge him,” says Executive Director David Villafana. “Mr. Shields is extremely reliable and always willing to help out when other Franchise Owners are out of the area on vacation or in an emergency.”

“What makes him unique is his responsiveness,” says Mr. Villafana. “He has an immediate intent to fix any problem right away, even if it is a minor thing. He never takes criticism in a negative way and has the attitude of ‘it will help me be better.’”

With over 20 accounts, Mr. Timothy Shields is known to his customers for his professionalism and eye for detail. He feels that all accounts are important and deserve his best, no matter the size or contract value. He operates his Corvus Franchise full time. During this time, he has gained the reputation of being a role model and customers speak highly of his work ethic and demeanor.

Corvus Janitorial is pleased to announce that this month’s Franchise Owner Spotlight is shining brightly on Mr. Rodjay Benford of Louisville. Mr. Benford opened his franchise just over two years ago, and he is already among the highest earning Franchisees in the Louisville market.

“Rodjay is one of the best franchise owners we have,” says Eric Coy, Director of Operations for Corvus of Louisville.

“We can always count him. He’s very attentive to customer needs. If Rodjay is cleaning your building, you’re in great hands. He understands what it means to be a business owner and doesn’t treat this as a job, but rather treats it as his career. He does whatever he needs to succeed. Mr. Benford says of his experience partnering with Corvus, “I’ve been with Corvus for just over two years now. After working my whole life building someone else’s dream, I decided it was time for me to build and work towards my own. The decision to do so was scary at first because I was leaving all that I knew behind and diving headfirst into the unknown. However, Eric and Aaron (Aaron Shader, Corvus of Louisville Operations manager) guided me through this transition. The leap of faith Crystal and I took to becoming small business owners has been one of the greatest decisions we’ve made. I would encourage anyone who is faithful, committed and dedicated to wanting to build on their own dreams, to also take the leap. I promise you; you will not regret it!”
