How Using Social Media Can Increase Your Janitorial Contracts

September 30, 2022 by MalekaVrana

The key to expanding a janitorial business is getting new contracts, which requires advertising. While it is essential to use traditional marketing strategies, social media is one of the most influential and critical places to promote a commercial cleaning company. Social media also provides one of the most impressive returns on investment. Platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram draw millions of followers, and it’s possible to harness that exposure to grow your cleaning business. The key is identifying your target audience, using platforms correctly, and posting regularly.

Why Social Media Marketing Is Essential

Social media is a powerful communication tool and marketing strategy that allows businesses to reach customers where they are. Companies can also characterize their brands and expand their customer base.

With that in mind, using social media in the janitorial field is critical to increasing contracts. When used correctly, social media can improve the efficacy of other marketing efforts. Commercial cleaning companies are better able to drive traffic, build natural links, promote brand recognition, and create goodwill.

Target Your Ideal Customers

Targeting the right people is the foundation of successful cleaning business marketing. To do that, you first need to research and learn about your ideal customers. Where do they hang out, what are their problems, what questions do they have, and what kind of things do they wish they had in their life?

When you know these things about your ideal customers, creating content that will engage them is more manageable. It will also help you understand where to promote the company on social media.

Choose Social Media Channels

A simple way to begin is to work with the channels you like best. There are a lot of social media platforms, and each has its strengths. Because time and effort are involved in maintaining posts, it’s best to choose one or two platforms and focus on them.

Using LinkedIn

Per Forbes, LinkedIn is the ideal place to reach the business world. Business professionals commonly connect to the platform to network and investigate leads.

Because LinkedIn is full of professionals and offers excellent search features, it is easy for you to connect with your target audience. Once you have identified your ideal customer, you can use the search feature to locate potential commercial cleaning clients. For example, you might look for facilities managers in your area.

You can use site filters to narrow down characteristics, such as individuals who manage businesses of specific sizes. Once you connect with those you have selected, they will begin to see your posts.

Using Facebook Ads

When you use Facebook ads, targeting the right people with content that solves their problems and helps them reach their goals is crucial.

You can reach your target market using a combination of Facebook pixels and lookalike audiences. A lookalike audience is one way that ads reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business since they share similar characteristics to existing customers.

Be sure to add your Facebook pixel to your website. A Facebook pixel is a piece of code you can place on your website. It collects data so you can track conversions from Facebook ads and optimize the ads. A pixel also makes it easier to build targeted audiences for future ads and remarket to those who have taken some type of action on your website.

Using Instagram

Because Instagram is a video and photo-sharing platform, its audience responds well to visual content. As a result, one of the best ways to market your commercial cleaning business on Instagram is to post before-and-after photos.

People enjoy viewing transformative images. When you show photos that highlight your cleaning skills, you demonstrate the quality of your services. Also, use hashtags common to the cleaning niche, such as #cleaningservice, #cleaningtips, and #cleaningservices.

Using YouTube

When posting to YouTube, it’s essential to include the same value-based content used in blogging. It’s a powerful platform ideal for showcasing commercial cleaning excellence.

For instance, a time-lapse video can provide a clear example of past results. Like before-and-after images, videos showcase the value of your work. Cleaning Business Today experts recommend using high-quality photos of previous jobs or happy customers. Also, add exciting captions that catch the audience’s attention.

YouTube videos can get thousands of views that generate tremendous business. If you reach a point where the channel can be monetized, it will also provide additional income.

Using Twitter

Twitter can be used to drive traffic to your company site, but it needs to be done correctly. The key is to share value-based content, just as you would on other platforms.

Building up a following on Twitter can be a slow process, but it’s a platform that allows every follower to see everything you post. If you consistently lead with value first, your cleaning business will eventually get noticed, and a targeted audience will begin to develop.

Create a Social Media Personality

Because there’s so much competition on social media, it’s vital to stand out. The key is to create unique content that readily identifies your company.

For example, use eye-catching, colorful graphics. List helpful cleaning hints or add stunning local photos. Give your posts a personality, and don’t forget local hashtags because they make it more likely you will get in front of the audience you want.

Post on Sites Regularly

It’s necessary to make regular posts on social media sites, but you don’t want to add so much content it begins to feel like spam. A middle ground is the best approach.

Posting once a day is safe for most sites, and you can add several Twitter posts daily. The goal is to constantly interact with followers and keep content fresh. Since you are dealing with social platforms, it’s OK to add non-business content, such as images of company events, light-hearted comments on holidays, or simply wishes for a good weekend.

Link to Local Events

Adding links to community events is a great way to gain followers and attract local attention. When possible, draw attention to other businesses, too. For example, congratulating another company on success or a milestone builds goodwill and business relationships.

Please note that current franchisees should check with their local offices to ensure they are in compliance with guidelines when using the Corvus logo on social media.

Commercial Cleaning for Healthcare Facilities: What You Need to Know

September 23, 2022 by MalekaVrana

Healthcare facilities are held to a higher standard than other commercial buildings because patient health depends on a germ-free environment. Most healthcare facilities rely on commercial cleaning companies to keep their premises clean and free of harmful bacteria that can make patients and employees ill.

Commercial Cleaning Services Are Essential for Healthcare Facilities

Healthcare facilities must maintain cleanliness to ensure the safety of their patients. Healthcare-associated infections occur when bacteria transfer from a surface to a person.

Transfer of bacteria arises from hand-to-hand contact, contact with contaminated surfaces, and from equipment. Keeping every surface in the healthcare facility clean and free of germs will eliminate healthcare-associated infections.

Healthcare-associated infections occur in the following facilities.

  • Medical clinics
  • Hospitals
  • Urgent care
  • Medical offices

Without proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures, bacteria transmission may occur rapidly, putting patients and medical staff in danger. To provide patients and employees with the safest and most germ-free environment, it is critical to hire
healthcare cleaning services, such as the services offered by Corvus Janitorial Systems, that specialize in healthcare facilities.

What to Look for in a Commercial Cleaning Service

Some cleaning services are ill-equipped to handle the rigorous demands of healthcare facility cleanliness. When searching for a professional cleaning company, there are a few things to consider.

Hospital-Grade Cleaners and Disinfectants

Because healthcare organizations provide care for the sick and dying, hiring a commercial cleaning service that uses hospital-grade cleaners and disinfectants is critical. High-level cleaning products kill bacteria and reduce the risks of infection transfers.

Waste and Contaminant Disposal

Proper waste and contaminant disposal is an integral service offered by professional cleaning companies. Choose a commercial cleaner that is well-versed in handling bio-waste correctly.

Cross-Contamination Prevention

Cross-contamination prevention is one of the most significant challenges for hospitals, medical offices, and other healthcare facilities. You should select a commercial cleaning company with strict protocols in place to prevent cross-contamination.

Healthcare Cleaning Skills

To minimize patient dangers, select a cleaning company with extensive experience cleaning healthcare facilities, including hospitals, surgical centers, and medical offices. The company should have the skills, tools, equipment, and knowledge to handle proper disinfecting and pathogen removal while ensuring facilities are clean and sparkling.

Knowledge

A knowledgeable company is essential for ensuring a healthcare facility has the educational background necessary for understanding the latest cleaning procedures. You need to choose a company well-versed in the latest cleaning techniques to ensure your facility meets industry standards for cleanliness.

Communication Skills

While often overlooked, the cleaning company should have excellent communication skills. The company should maintain prompt communication with you, while answering any questions or concerns you may have. The company should treat you and all employees with care and consideration.

Understanding the Benefits of Hiring Commercial Cleaners

All medical facilities must be free of germs and bacteria that can make patients ill. These facilities must also be visually presentable, free of dust, dirt, and grime and inviting. The following are some of the top benefits of hiring a commercial cleaner for a healthcare organization.

  1. Hiring a professional cleaning company offers a safer and healthier environment. Professional medical cleaning services limit the risks of spreading diseases and infections. When patients receive care in a germ-free environment, their odds of making a successful recovery increase. A professional cleaning company also reduces the risk of communicable diseases passing to healthcare workers.
  1. By seeking a commercial cleaning service, healthcare facilities will present a more inviting appearance to patients. It is essential to remember that healthcare facilities never have down days. You must clean and sanitize multiple times a day.A clean and professional atmosphere makes patients feel more confident in the care being provided to them. Patient satisfaction is integral to healthcare organizations. Healthcare facilities that are unclean cause patients to lack trust in their providers.
  1. Consistency is critical when it comes to cleaning a healthcare facility. When employees are tasked with the role of performing their jobs and cleaning, inconsistency may occur.A consistently clean and sanitized environment is essential for patient care. This environment is challenging to achieve without professional intervention.

Professional cleaning companies have strict protocols. The employees of these companies go through rigorous training to ensure they provide consummate services.

A commercial cleaning service, like Corvus, has the knowledge and skills to handle pathogens and ensure all surfaces are treated appropriately to remove germs.

Securing Healthcare Contracts Is Essential

Professional cleaning companies that want to secure healthcare contracts need to ensure they educate their employees on the healthcare cleaning protocols. The following tips should help a professional cleaning company obtain contracts more successfully.

  • Learn about OSHA standards and those released by the Centers for Disease Control. These agencies offer extensive guidelines on cleaning healthcare facilities. Commercial cleaning services must remain current with the latest cleaning recommendations and abide by best practices.
  • While training is integral when hiring new employees, this training must continue. Offer education courses for employees and keep their certificates on file.
  • Using the right cleaning products is critical for removing the dangers of pathogens from a medical facility. If a cleaning company does not use hospital-grade cleaners and disinfectants, they likely will lose bids on contracts.
  • Before finalizing a bid for a healthcare contract, cleaning companies must conduct a walkthrough just as they would with any contract. If there is any uncertainty when carrying out the walkthrough, withdraw the bid and continue to work on your operation. It is better to wait until the cleaning company is fully prepared for healthcare cleaning protocols.
Healthcare Facilities Require Professional Cleaning

Now, more than ever, professional cleaning is critical for healthcare agencies. Healthcare facilities need companies that can prevent problems like cross-contamination and pathogen exposure.

Professional cleaning companies that want to service healthcare organizations need to ensure they have the staff, materials, equipment, and education to handle the rigorous demands of keeping these facilities safe for patients and healthcare workers.

A professionally cleaned healthcare facility is better able to serve its patients and keep them safe from infection dangers. Commercial cleaning companies provide a needful service for their clients. Corvus Janitorial Systems can help. Please contact us today to learn more about our commercial cleaning services.

5 Benefits to Being Your Own Boss

September 9, 2022 by MalekaVrana

If you’ve ever wanted to leave the 9-5 lifestyle and be in control, starting a commercial cleaning franchise can be challenging yet rewarding. You’ll get to reap the benefits of business ownership with built-in help and support, and the only limit to the company’s earning potential is the level of effort you’re willing to put in.

While entrepreneurship isn’t right for everyone, franchise opportunities make it easier to stop working for others and start earning money for yourself. It’s a good time to start a business—and we will discuss some of the benefits below.

Doing What You Enjoy

It’s the main reason people start businesses, and it’s a good one: when a person believes in the services and products they’re selling, it motivates them to work harder. Though it’s tough to arrive at an exact dollar value, getting paid to do something enjoyable leads to increased job satisfaction.

While passion is important, of course, it’s not all you’ll need. Success requires an in-depth knowledge of the products and services being sold. As a Corvus Janitorial Systems franchisee, you’ll receive the guidance and mentorship needed to build skills and thrive as a local business owner.

Setting a Workable Schedule

Another great thing about owning a commercial cleaning business is the ability to set your own schedule. Though you’ll need to operate during certain hours to interact with facility managers and business owners, franchise ownership does offer greater flexibility in terms of hours and workdays. By researching your target market and their expectations, and by maintaining a degree of flexibility, success as a janitorial franchise owner is possible.

A Sense of Pride in a Job Well Done

It’s particularly gratifying to take an idea from the drawing board to reality. Life as an owner-operator does require long hours at times, but it’s easier to cope with when, in the end, you see the results of all that effort. Take the time to commemorate even the smallest victories, as every step in the right direction is a step worth taking.

Being in Control

Though a franchise owner only answers to themselves, that means the fate of the company is in their hands. As an owner, you’re the one making all the decisions, from those pertaining to daily operations to those affecting the rest of the business.

Being an owner has its perks, but it’s important to keep in mind that, at the end of the day, you’re still accountable to clients and employees. Owning a commercial cleaning franchise means being in control, which is hard work—but it will pay dividends in the form of stronger client relationships.

Building Confidence With a Proven Business Model

As a potential franchisee, it’s easy to understand the benefits of joining our network. Some advantages, however, aren’t as apparent. Joining Corvus Janitorial Systems as a franchise owner saves a great deal of time and effort, as you’ll immediately have access to proven processes and products. With a system already in place, new franchise owners can build the confidence they need to succeed.

Self-confidence is a crucial aspect of franchise ownership, along with faith and commitment. Don’t let the potential for failure prevail over the belief that your cleaning business will succeed; rather, let the fear motivate you. All businesses, even successful ones, go through challenges, and a healthy dose of confidence will help you overcome them.

Bonus Benefit #1: Setting Better Financial Goals

Many people go into business for themselves for the financial benefits. From the pride that comes with making your own way to the ability to save more for a comfortable retirement, the advantages of cleaning franchise ownership are numerous. As a business owner, you get to decide which goals to pursue, how hard the pursuit will be, and how much money you’ll make. With hard work, dedication, planning, and a great vision, there’s no limit to what a franchise owner can accomplish.

Bonus Benefit #2: The Ability to Offer Customers Something New

Giving customers what they need is a primary reason people start new businesses. Although cleaning services aren’t exactly one-of-a-kind, becoming a Corvus Janitorial franchisee will allow you to present those services in unique and innovative ways. Contact us today to learn more about our proven business model.

Bonus Benefit #3: Connecting With Customers

Running a business gives an owner the chance to work closely with clients and become better acquainted with them. Whether you’re building lifelong connections or customizing service recommendations to suit local facility owners, a personalized approach stands out in the automated, impersonal, and one-size-fits-all world of today.

Corvus Janitorial Systems believes in the personal touch, which allows franchisees to build stronger client relationships, increase customer retention, and provide the specialized support that makes it easier to recommend and sell products and services. With personalized customer service, it’s possible for local franchise owners to quickly become trusted, reputable brands.

Bonus Benefit #4: Taking Time Off When Needed

The idea of taking a long weekend off is a great one—and successful franchise ownership makes it possible. While you will be putting long hours in, at least for a while as a new franchisee, you’ll be able to take some time off once the business is established. In an age when most people work from home or in other places outside the office, it’s all too easy to blur the lines between work and personal life. As a Corvus Janitorial Systems franchisee, it’s easy to find the time to relax, rest, and recharge.

Be Your Own Boss With Corvus Janitorial

Corvus Janitorial Systems is a nationally recognized brand that allows entrepreneurs to build successful businesses from scratch. As a franchisee, you’ll have access to our proven startup and growth capital generation system as well as a team of sales specialists who make it easier to find and sign new clients. Request additional information via our online form or call us today to find out just how rewarding cleaning franchise ownership can be.
